Certs & Docs

Built to Meet the Highest Standards

Certified for Compliance. Trusted for Precision.

In regulated industries, documentation isn’t optional — it’s the law. At Global Metal Finishing, we maintain a rigorous Quality Management System (QMS) and hold certifications that meet the most demanding aerospace, defense, and medical requirements. Our compliance protocols don’t just meet expectations — they prevent costly failures, delays, and rework. Saving you time and money.

We keep our certifications current through internal audits, external reviews, and continuous training. Every finish, every part, every time — backed by the credentials your quality assurance team needs to see.

ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D

The globally recognized standard for aerospace quality management systems, AS9100D builds on ISO 9001 by adding stricter controls for traceability, documentation, and risk management to meet the advanced quality requirements of the aerospace and defense sectors.

Why it matters: Required by most aerospace primes and many defense contractors. Shows we’re built for high-risk, high-stakes environments.

Nadcap

Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is one of the most rigorous certifications in the finishing industry, and our accreditation in chemical processing confirms that our procedures, controls, and results consistently meet the highest standards.

Why it matters: Nadcap is often non-negotiable in aerospace. It proves that your parts will be finished by a shop that passes the toughest chemical controls and audits in the business.

ITAR Registered

We are registered with the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), ensuring compliance and security for export-controlled work.
Why it matters: If your parts fall under defense export controls, ITAR registration is mandatory. It confirms we handle sensitive jobs responsibly and legally.

CAGE Code: 6H7A2

Our CAGE Code is a unique, five-character identifier assigned by the U.S. government to identify suppliers and streamline procurement. This is mandatory when seeking to service the U.S. government.

FFL Type 07

Our Federal Firearms License (FFL) Type 07, legally authorizes GMF to receive, finish, and return serialized firearms and components. We support firearm manufacturers and defense contractors with compliant handling and finishing of their regulated parts.

Why it matters: Many finishing shops can’t legally handle these parts. Our license ensures your serialized items are processed with full compliance. The ATF audits us annually.

CMMC-Ready

Our systems and policies are aligned with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, which is required for organizations handling Federal Contract Information (FCI) or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Why it matters: Cybersecurity is a threat to our country and has been a growing requirement in defense. Being CMMC-ready shows we protect not just your parts — but our nation’s IP.
